Daily Devotions  "He's Got thr Power"

Monday, 1/22 - Isaiah 63: 1, 7-9- Where do you see the power of Jesus Christ in these verses?

Tuesday, 1/23 - Mark 1: 21-28- The unclean spirit declares Jesus as the “Holy One of God” and what was Jesus’ intent, to destroy him. How does the casting out of the unclean spirit show Jesus’ dominion and power over heaven and earth?

Wednesday, 1/24 - Mark 2: 1-12- Not only did Jesus heal the paralytic but also forgave him of his sins. What do you believe about whether sin and guilt can cause physical or emotional illness?

Thursday, 1/25 - Mark 4: 35-41- Jesus’ word was the word of power, even the winds and the waves obeyed him. How does this strengthen you to know the power of the words that Jesus told us: Be encouraged and have faith, do not be afraid? (Mark 6:50)

Friday, 1/26 - Hebrews 1: 1-4- How have you experienced the power of the risen Christ. Share with someone today the power you believe in and why.

Saturday,1/27 - John 14: 12-14- Do you really believe through your baptism you were given the same power by the Holy Spirit that Jesus possessed? What keeps you from utilizing the full power of your baptismal covenant?

Parent's Night Out !!  Sat. Feb. 10, 2018
5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Souper Sunday
Sunday February 4, 2018
The Outreach Committee decided to add a bit of a spin on the Souper Sunday potluck this year. As well as, decorating your table with your favorite sports team memorabilia, we want everyone to bring their recipes for their crock pot or whatever dish they contribute to the potluck. We plan to have a judging in two categories - table decoration and food. The voting will be by putting coins or cash in a cup on each table and with each recipe. All proceeds will be donated 50/50 to Christ Carpenters and Hope 4 Kids.

To add even more fun if you can relate your recipe to your favorite team, even better. For example, if you are an Ohio State Buckeye fan - bring buckeyes as dessert or Maryland fans can do something with crab. It could end up being a very interesting potluck.

All for fun and fellowship with a bit of a purpose. Thanks.
